I think the number 1 teams are alright. But, there's no way Catholic is not at least in the top 3. And Butler at 10, come on.

This ranking isn't a popularity contest or voted on by any person or group. This is strictly a math formula (no bias to team) ranking system.

We agree that Charlotte Catholic is one of the top teams in the 3A. The reason our rankings have Catholic at #7 and not in the top 3 is simply b/c of Catholics strength of schedule. The FAIR rankings includes strength of schedule in its formula. Teams that play harder schedules get rewarded. Catholics NCHSAA wins come from (2-4) South Meck, (1-4) Providence, (0-6) Garinger, and (3-3) West Meck. That's a combined opponent record of (6-17). Placing Catholics strength of schedule as the 83rd easiest out of the 97 3A schools. That's the only reason. No bias to Catholic or any other school, its just a calculation based off of games played.
